It’s been so long since I’ve put up a post on my blog. The thoughts have been collecting for so long, sometimes I feel that I should write a book instead of a blog. Well given my writing skills we all know that ain’t gonna happen sometime soon. So let me clear the cob webs and give you the 1-0-1 on whats been happening in Kiran’s world. Firstly, I since early last month, I got ahead of myself on the WFM project and we’ll I now know how to make it work. I see the strings and I see the system clearly. Yes, unlike all the other booyaka you’ve been hearing, it boils down to quaility and traffic. Unfortunately, I just haven’t had too much, in fact no time at all to get blogging.
Work has been quite a buzz off late I somehow always end up talking about work here don’t I? Anyway, I’ve still got miles..nay…light years to go before I can get myself a little bit of that pie. As always, I’m constantly evaluating options to further my career (like doing a PMP certification…or opening up a Chinese fast food chain). Didn’t quite know, I was so wanted (lol!!). Having said that, I’ve opened my mind so much to learning off late, that I’m now only second to Sponge Bob Square Pants. he he…I’ve been meaning to do a lot of things. I want to do em. I just somehow don’t find the time to do it.
Oh yeah, and my new 22″ monitor from ViewSonic is bloody awesome! Im actually sitting 3 feet away from the screen and typing now - 3 feet away and I still have to move my head to see the full breadth of the monitor. But I digrees…as I was saying, i’m so tired of missing out on the things I want to do, it’s been quite dissapointing that I’m unable to balance work and home. Good help is really hard to come by these days..both at home and work.
I can’t wait to meet my girl friend sometime early next month, I’ve been putting off meeting her for so long, due to fires at work and at home, it’s really good now that I’m going to meet her on the 7th of November. It’s gonna be more of a family thingy, kinda like ‘meet the parents’ Just can’t wait.
Oh and I’m now officially overweight… BUT, before the phat comments start coming out, I don’t look fat..yet. lol! I got all my goods now to start burning blubber. Just 10 kilos to burn. Should be good before the wedding :)The last 3 months of every year and really trying times for me. So much to do and so little time. I sometimes feel like a maze ball stuck in a corner, that won’t budge. We’ll times are changing and I know, it’s for the better.
How often have you come across something you totally wanted to buy and you save enough money for it and are ready to make the transaction and THEN suddenly realize…they won’t ship overseas!!! All that time, effort and not to mention anticipation down the drain!! Well no more of that I say! Because with the MyUS.com website, that is a thing of the past!!!
They provide services which overcome the following issues: 1) US Retailers not shipping overseas and 2) Those that do ship internationally charge like crazy.
Some of the services that they provide are Package Forwarding, Mail Forwarding, personal shopper services – i.e. if you don’t have a US based credit card they purchase on your behalf and you can pay them later, Notifications on mail, US magazines and trade journals and much more!
I think this has been a fantastic service offering and I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered my Xbox 360 from the USA (way before it was launched here) and the time and care taken to deliver it was simply outstanding! I completely vouch for their services and if ever you need anything purchased from the US and to be shipped back here, The MyUS.com website is the way to go! It’s so helpful especially when you’re travelling for long months, but don’t want to miss your mails or important packages that come to your US address.
This is an awesome service and I completely recommend MyUS.com!
Finally the WFM is kicking and alive!! or should it be the other way around?? I dunno, but i’m real glad it working and I can’t wait to quit from my current state of affairs!
So here’s to the future!! Let’s live it like we should!!
A lot of folks who use computers aren’t experts and don’t want to be. Does this sound like you? You don’t adjust the timing belt or change the spark plugs in your car you take it to a mechanic. Why should your PC be any different, you wonder? You think you’ll spend five minutes on a computerproblem, and three hours later, you still aren’t any closer to fixing the problem. You might not even know what the problem is yet!
Rather than trying to become a PC mechanic overnight, there’s a simpler way to fix the engine and get back on the road one that can save both your time and your sanity. Better yet, it’s one of the easiest tools to use and is already included in Windows Vista it’s called SystemRestore.
Get back
SystemRestore is like a big “Undo” button for Windows. It lets you undo changes to your computer’s operating system and programs without affecting personal files such as documents or photos. It’s a great solution if a program you downloaded or installed doesn’t work right, and you can’t seem to uninstall it or get back to where you were before.
It’s saved my hide on numerous occasions, quickly and without fuss. I’ve used it most after installing something a driver that I thought would work for an old monitor; a game from 1998 that I found in the bottom of a drawer; or a sharewareprogram that looked interesting but wrecked havoc on my system and didn’t want to uninstall.
I’ve also gotten into trouble when playing around with a configuration setting that I unintentionally saved. Boom all of a sudden my icons are huge, or missing, or the screen starts acting funny, and I’m not sure what I did or how to undo it. Uh oh. Time to run SystemRestore.
Yeah, you read it right, “flirting championship”!! Enter Extreme Style by VO5 and you’ll know what we’re talking about!! Yeah, you’ll come across your share of cheesy pick up lines, and trust me I’ve heard a lot of em.

When two people of the opposite sex, with sexy hair meet and create magic – your gets all messed up…that my friend is victory hair!! Pick up lines, smart moves et al contribute to getting your hair all victorious!!
So what are you waiting for? Get this widget and share em with all your friends in the Ultimate Flirting Championship!! You can add this to your blogs, social profiles etc.
Michael Jackson turned 50 on August 29 but insisted that age has not taken a toll on him. “I feel very wise and sage, but at the same time very young,” said the King of Pop asserting that his body can still twist and turn like it did years ago.
There will be no grand celebrations to mark Jackson’s 50th birthday. All he plans is: “A little cake with my children and we’ll probably watch some cartoons.”
The unparalleled music icon who has 13 Grammy’s to his credit and has sold more than 750 million albums worldwide is still looking forward to doing a lot of great things. “… I think the best is yet to come in my true humble opinion,” he said.
Jackson has been devoted to composing but his music, but it has not exactly been the focus of his life for almost a generation now. Priorities have changed for the twice-divorced father of three, who wants to spend time with his growing children and make sure they have a normal life.
“I am letting them enjoy their childhood as much as possible,” Jackson said adding that he takes pleasure in teaching them how to read and ride bicycles. “I let them go to the arcade and go to the movies and do things. I think that comes naturally. I want them to get to do things I didn’t get to do,” he said.
After being acquitted of child-molestation charges in 2005, Jackson and his three children Prince Michael, 11, Paris, 10, and Prince Michael II, 6 have been traveling around the globe, pausing in the Middle East, Europe and Las Vegas.
‘Invincible,’ Jackson’s last collection was released way back in 2001. “I’m having a wonderful time, just relaxing,” said the apparently inactive singer With a backing of 40 years of music, and the iconic status, one can easily put his feet up when he turns half-a-century old.
See I’m in a rut now which NEEDS me to look for investment advice…and I came across these from Warren Buffet.
“The most important investment you can make is in yourself. Very few people get anything like their potential horsepower translated into the actual horsepower of their output in life. Potential exceeds realization for many people…… Just imagine you’re 16 and I was going to give you a car of your choice today, any car you wanted to pick. But there was one catch. It was the only car you were able to have for the rest of your life. You had to make it last. So how would you treat it?
Well, of course you’d read the owners’ manual about five times before you turn the key in the ignition. You would keep it garaged; any little rust would get taken care of immediately; you’d change the oil twice as often as you were supposed to - because you would know it had to last a lifetime….
Then I tell the students you get one body and one mind. And it’s going to have to last you a lifetime so you’d better treat it the same way. You’d better start doing it right now because it doesn’t do any good if you start working on it when you are 50 or 60 and the little speck of rust has turned into something big… The best asset is your own self. You can become to an enormous degree the person you want to be.”
This is great advice from a truly great investor. Taking the time and energy to investing oneself, is the starting point for great leadership.

So, can this get any better? According to thetvaddict.com, someone…we’re not saying who, is gonna be killed of in the 2 hour season premiere of Prison Break. according to TV.com it could be 2! Also E! online provides a look at two new characters to be featured in the upcoming season. The Company man after Michael and Lincoln this year is named Wyatt (Cress Williams, ER, Grey’s Anatomy), who discovers that his targets aren’t where people think they are. Also joining the crew is computer hacker Roland, played by James Hiroyuki Liao (CSI), who serves as the tech-savvy–but, like any IT guy, difficult to work with–member for the good guys.
Is that hot news or what?? Oh you need more??
…there is also a video game based on the show in the works. In the
season three DVD box set (out now), an insert promotes Prison Break The
Game from publisher Brash. The solo screenshot indicates that gamers
will play as Michael Scofield in Splinter Cell-type stealth action.
Look for the game in stores in February on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation
3…no PC confirmed though.
Of Prison Break mates…let’s start hearing your theories!!
On international flights many countries’ airlines are serving up gourmet gastronomical treats. See which who makes the number 1!!
10. Lufthansa
Every two months, Lufthansa enlists the expertise of a new star chef to prepare its first and business class menus on intercontinental flights from Germany. During the months of May and June, first and business class passengers on Lufthansa can look forward to meals prepared by Swiss chef Reto Mathis. Appetizers on the first class menu include crayfish and avocado timbale with lime crème fraiche. Entrees include traditional Swiss escalope guinea fowl with air dried beef and sage, pumpkin goulash and curd spatzle. German chef Ralf Zacherl has been creating the kid-tested children’s menu since May 2007. Featured here is ‘Tiger’s Tail’ — a rolled pancake filled with chicken and vegetables. For dessert is the ‘Little Martian’: an alien creature made from mousse and strawberry puree with chocolate drops for eyes and licorice sticks for antennae.
9. Austrian Airlines
The upscale Austrian catering company DO & CO creates the meals for Austrian Airlines. An onboard chef adds a gourmet touch to the dining experience, starting passengers off with an ‘amuse gueule’ — an intensely flavored bite-sized morsel of the chef’s creation. That is followed by a selection of appetizers and traditional soups, three options for the main course, and finally cheese, fruits and dessert. The rack of lamb is one of the main course options in business class.
8. Etihad Airways
Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways offers more than 20 special meals for those with religious, cultural or dietary needs. Business and first class passengers may dine at any time during the flight, choosing from a la carte or kitchen menus. Reflecting the United Arab Emirates’ traditional position as a major crossroads for trade between different cultures, Etihad Airways’ meals draw from European, Western, Asian and Middle Eastern influences. The dish pictured here, cinnamon rice pudding with sticky toffee sauce, is an example.
7. Cathay Pacific Airways
Hong Kong’s Cathay Pacific operates a full kitchen out of airports in Hong Kong, Vietnam, Taiwan, the Philippines, Vancouver and Toronto. The flight kitchen in Hong Kong is one of the largest in the world, with specialized sections for Kosher, Halal and Japanese food as well as an on-site bakery. The airline is also one of the first to have onboard rice cookers, toasters and skillets. This business class meal of pork chops, mixed salad and dinner roll is just one of a plethora of options. Vegetarian and religious meals are also offered.
6. Air France
Guy Martin, a Parisian chef and “art of living” consultant, prepares the first class menu for Air France. The airline offers a range of hors d’oeuvres, main courses and desserts, a bread basket, cheese plate and espresso drinks. The plum tartlet is included on the dessert cart, along with other pastries, fresh fruit and petit fours (small cakes).
5. Scandinavian Airlines
Scandinavian Airlines pampers premium-class passengers on long-haul flights with a pre-takeoff cocktail followed by a full meal and breakfast before landing. In between meals a buffet bar serving drinks, fruit and snacks is available. For dinner, the airline features ‘humanskost,’ traditional Scandinavian home cooking. Meals include salmon with mashed mustard-potatoes and dill, reindeer stew with sauteed chanterelle and Swedish meatballs with potatoes and lingonberry preserve. Another Danish tradition is smorrebrod — an open-faced sandwich with various toppings like roast beef and potato salad, shrimp and eggs, and gravlax and mustard.
4. Jet Airways
Passengers flying on India’s Jet Airways can request meals specifically tailored to their dietary needs. Kosher meals, low-calorie, no sodium, vegetarian, and diabetic meals are all options. For its first-class travelers Jet Airways serves Dom Perignon champagne and delights such as the Indian meal featured here: Bharwan paneer tikka, which is stuffed piccatta of marinated cottage cheese cooked in a clay oven.
3. United Airlines
United Airlines enlisted the help of top Chicago chef Charlie Trotter to make its seven-mile-high meals tastier. Apricot curry-braised lamb medallions with Israeli couscous and spicy roasted eggplant are offered on select international flights to first and business class passengers. Other main course options include grilled sea bass and stone ground grits, and orange and ginger cured duck confit with roasted shallot vinaigrette.
2. Singapore Airlines
If you’re flying first or business class on Singapore Airlines, you can order a meal in advance with the ‘Book a Cook’ option. Main courses include lobster thermidor, roast rack of lamb and Thai red curry chicken. The airline also has a panel of nine chefs from eight countries and three wine consultants to ensure that meals are both tasty and unique. Pictured here are sea scallops and mixed vegetables over noodles.
1. Japan Airlines
Japan Airlines perfected the soba noodle at 35,000 feet: not too soft, not too firm. The airline spent two years getting its onboard preparation just right. Zara soba, which are Japanese buckwheat noodles, served cold with a dipping sauce, are just one option from the airline’s traditional Japanese menu. It also offers a Western menu with low-cal options for those watching their figures.
