You know, I’m quite sick of this whole PR thing anyway now. Yeah, this PR update did squat for me again. I’m obviously in over my head at this point and how to get a decent PR.

From now on…its just gonna be good writing all around. Who needs a PR anyway, screw google, screw the PR system and screw everything depending on this. I quit.I’m just gonna keep writing on a regular basis and see how things go.

I hope I’m not being penalized because of my crap ass hosting service. Anyway, this is over. I’m not breaking my head on this.

Everything seems to be taking so long off late. Everything from getting a break, to the WFM launch, to the finalization of my 2nd half of my life. I just feel the overall lack of satisfaction, both at work and at home…like there’s no peace. I fear things and people I’m not supposed to fear. I have a feeling all hell’s gonna break loose.

Well even if hell don’t break, I’m gonna lose my mind soon.

Yeah, so its official…i got a mail today confirming the same -

Hello,Thank you for participating in the AdSense Referrals programme. We
will be retiring the AdSense Referrals programme during the last
week of August. After that time, AdSense Referrals code will no
longer display ads.

If you currently use referrals, either to promote Google products
or offerings from AdWords advertisers, we encourage that you take
the following steps before the product is retired:

* Remove all referral code from your site(s): Please take a
moment to remove all referral code from your sites before the last
week of August, so that you can continue to effectively monetise
your ad space.
* Replace your referral ads with AdSense for content ads: If
you have less than three AdSense for content ad units on a page,
we recommend replacing referral ad units with standard AFC ad
units. This will minimise the risk of decreased AdSense earnings
when the Referrals programme is retired.
* Run and save all referrals reports to your desktop: All
Referrals reports will no longer be available at the end of
October.

We appreciate your patience during this transition. If you have
additional questions, please visit
http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/topic.py?topic=14882.
Thank you for your support of AdSense Referrals.

Yours sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

So how much did yawl actually earn through referrals? Me in the 3 months that I tried it.. I got $0!

LOL!

So you got a new mac finally and you’re wondering what are the absolute best apps that I need to keep myself going? In our new highly subjective top 10, three get to stay and seven get the boot.

Here are the ones we’re sticking with:

Pastor: Still a quick and easy way to store serial numbers, passwords and the like. Still getting regular updates.

NetNewsWire: We used to recommend the lite version, but now we can recommend the full version, which of course is even better — and it’s gone free.

Cyberduck: Unless you have specialized needs, there is no real reason to pay for an FTP client.

Here are the newcomers:

Jumpcut: Multiple clipboards seems like a no-brainer feature, but it still isn’t built into the system. Of all the freeware options, we like Jumpcut best.

Transmission: The combination of a great interface and superior performance make this the P2P program of choice.

xPad: A tried a true method for keeping notes without the hassle of a learning cure. (Replaces Sidenote, which accidentally slid out from the side one time too often.)

MainMenu: Maintain your Mac from the menu bar with handy access to cron scripts, permissions and lots more. We know all about Onyx, but it’s overkill for our needs. (Replaces MacJanitor, which does only a fraction of the work.)

iStat menus: Sure it’s great to have neat little graphs in the menu bar to let you know how your Mac is doing under the hood. But even better is that you can customize the date and time to your heart’s content. (Replaces wClock, long abandoned by its developer.)

Firefox 3: At last, Firefox is speedy enough and Mac-like enough that we can recommend it on a par with Safari. (Replaces Camino, which is still loved, but lags in plug-in power.)

Smultron: Text editors have raw processing power missing in word processors, and for the Mac it’s hard to beat Smultron. It might not be as powerful as TextWrangler, but its clean interface and support for HTML have won many friends.

Here some others that get the boot:

Seashore: It was hard to let this one go. It’s just that we found 10 others we liked better. Seashore offers gradients, textures, anti-aliasing, multiple layers and alpha channel editing for your basic image editing needs.

Silverkeeper: Who needs it when you’ve got Time Machine? And even if you don’t have Time Machine, Carbon Copy Cloner is a much better solution. Or use the free version of SuperDuper along with Time Machine for the ultimate backup.

PixelNHance: It’s still a great program, but you’ll find much of its functionality in the latest version of iPhoto, which of course comes free with your Mac.

at this out-of-this-world property. The amenities are minimal, but at
less than $20 a night, so is the price.

A tourist attraction by day, this imposing tower becomes an
exclusive hotel at night. Those wishing to give it a go should book
early; the tower’s two suites fill up three months out.

who peek in through the windows of this extraordinary compound will
just ignore it.
